Pupil Premium
We want to make you aware of some important changes to Free School Meals (FSM) coming into effect from September.
WHAT IS CHANGING
• Families who have been receiving Free School Meals under the protection rules from 2018 will no longer be eligible from 1st September.
• All parents and carers receiving Universal Credit will now be able to apply for Free School Meals. There will be two types:
*Targeted FSM: for families earning £7,400 or less (this still attracts pupil premium funding).
*Expanded FSM: for families earning above £7,400 (free meals but no pupil premium funding).
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
• All parents and carers must re-apply for Free School Meals through Leicestershire County Council. Schools cannot apply on your behalf: https://leicestershire.cloud.servelec-synergy.com/Synergy/
• Applications must be submitted this term for the 2026/27 school year.
• You will need to re-apply every year going forward, as eligibility will not roll over automatically.
Thank you for your support as these changes are introduced.
The school is unable to provide a summary of barriers to learning because of the low numbers of children on pupil premium. This is the same regarding effect of expenditure as this would reveal individuals.
